I’ve shared about Evivo Infant Probiotics a couple times here and it’s because I’m that passionate about them. We used them when Carter was a baby to help improve his gut health and will continue to use them for our new arrival. After doing some research on infant gut health I realized how important it was to get an infant probiotic into my baby’s body.
After having so many babies I’ve finally learned the importance of baby’s gut health and just how critical the first 6 months are in establishing that. Below I wanted to share a few reasons why I’m so happy and thankful that I’ve found baby probiotics with Evivo Infant Probiotics.

Part 1 // Part 2
1 // The First 6 Months Are Crucial
Not many parents realize just how crucial the first 6 months are to their infant’s gut health. It really sets your baby up for life for immune and metabolic development — and the significant role the composition of baby’s gut microbiome plays in this process. Bad bacteria in your baby’s gut could put them at a higher risk of autoimmune and metabolic issues like colic, allergies, diabetes or obesity later in life. When you introduce more good bacteria in the gut, it creates a strong and protective wall to crowd out the bad bacteria.
2 // Knowing If Your Baby’s Gut is Healthy
How do you know if baby’s gut is healthy? There is now a super simple way to figure this out. Take a look at these few questions:
Question 1: Were you OR your baby born via C-section?
Question 2: Were you OR your baby given antibiotics pre-delivery or post pregnancy?
Question 3: Does your baby have diaper rash OR 5+ watery poops per day?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions your baby’s gut may be in jeopardy. Your baby’s gut is likely missing the good bacteria B. infantis, allowing many harmful bacteria to thrive. These bad bacteria are linked to higher risk of colic, eczema, allergies, diabetes, and obesity.
For me? I have always tested positive for GB Strep which meant I have always been given an antibiotic prior to baby being born. Which means both the good bacteria (like B. infantis) and the bad bacteria (like Group B Strep) was eliminated.
This is where Evivo comes in to help put that good bacteria back into baby’s body since I had to get an antibiotic.
3 // Bad Bacteria Versus Good Bacteria
So what is the good bacteria? B. Infantis. What is the bad bacteria? The bacteria that causes colic, bad poops, gas, eczema, allergies, etc.
To help reverse this trend, a team of doctors and scientists from Evivo found a way to repopulate the infant gut with this good bacteria. Evivo is the only probiotic clinically proven to restore B. infantis while reducing the potentially harmful bacteria by 80%. In clinical trials, babies consuming Evivo and breast milk had their gut fully repopulated with the good bacteria they need 100% of the time.
When bad bacteria are pushed out and good bacteria thrive, baby is more likely to develop a healthier metabolism and a stronger immune system. The first 6 months of baby’s life are full of all sorts of important milestones. Make sure helping baby develop a healthy gut is one of them!
