Whether you’re a working mom or a stay-at-home mom or a work-from-home mom I know we all want to have a simple, and a productive morning. Between getting ourselves ready for the day, getting the kids dressed and fed, and getting everyone either to school or ready for the school day at home — we can exhaust ourselves by the time it’s 9AM!
As the summer winds down I am finding myself digging into a new rhythm of a morning routine that helps me start a simple, yet productive day before we even start the school or work day.
Eat A Simple + Healthy Breakfast
I am known for a quick, healthy breakfast that fills me up and takes little to no time to prepare. I love finding foods that are nutritious and don’t require me spending a ton of time in the kitchen.
Along with my morning protein shake, my new go-to is thinkThin® Protein & Probiotics Hot Oatmeal. These little cups of goodness have 10g of protein and 9g of sugar making them already perfect with just the right amount of sweetness. The Cinnamon Almond is my favorite in the morning.
These delicious little cups of oatmeal make my mornings simple, healthy and keep it so much easier to move on to conquer the rest of my morning to-do list.
Prepare For Your Day The Night Before
This may look different from person to person, but it for me it’s making sure we do a hard reset on our home the night before by tidying up our living spaces and an empty sink with a clean kitchen. If you’re a working parent, this may be laying out your children’s clothing the night before, prepping their lunches and your own for the next day, so you can limit the amount of things on your to-do list in the morning.

Choose One Thing For Daily Self Care
Another piece that may look different for everyone, but setting aside 20 minutes in the morning for YOURSELF can set the tone for your day and give you a productive morning.
Whether it’s reading something of your choice, getting your make up on for the day if you’re a SAHM, getting in a workout, having a quiet cup of coffee to yourself — whatever it is make time for some daily self care. You may not have time to do it for the rest of the day. Rise a little earlier to sneak in some alone time. This has proven time and again for myself to change the entire tone of my day. I highly recommend taking a few minutes to love on yourself so you can have a simple and productive morning.
