Whooooo hooooo! It’s Friday! And I blogged today 😉
Fridays are actually my least favorite day of the week honestly. For most people, it means yay! Weekend! But I’m a work from home mom that works most days out of the week and Fridays are my busiest work from home days. But the great thing about Fridays for me is that my husband is off, so it relieves me from some of my mom duties for part of the day so I can get some work done!
one. spring is here
After what has felt like 17 months of winter here in Michigan SPRING IS FINALLY HERE. And we have been outside every single day since the weather has broken. We’ve hit up Greenfield Village with our besties,
our favorite park and Carter’s first time getting to run around it (last year he was still in the Ergo every time we went!)
and definitely already had our favorite frozen custard for dinner.
two. oils for all.
My sweet friend Ryan, has hooked me up with my first essentials oil kit from DoTerra. After my first week of using them — I am OBSESSED.
We’ve been diffusing every morning and have put a diffuser into each of the boy’s rooms. So far my favorites to diffuse are wild orange, melaleuca and lavender.
I have A LOT of issues with my shins. It’s a reoccurring issue that I have yet to get officially diagnosed. However, with any slight pressure put onto my shins by running, jumping, etc (most of which happens during my CrossFit classes), I am in aching and agonizing pain for days later. I used the Deep Blue blend on my shins one night after a class and within a day or so my pain was gone. Guys — I cannot express enough how terrific and amazing this is! I usually have 4-5 days of lasting shin pain after I’ve done too much on them. Within a day of using this stuff my shin pain was completely gone before my next class. It was incredible!
Our classroom is almost finished! We have a few small things to do (finish painting, take down some doors, install curtains, etc), but we’re nearly there! My hope is to have a few solid weeks in there before we break for summer to do some light school work through June, July and August. But it’s been incredible to see that space transform and see the boys connecting with it already. I am so, so excited about our adventure to come. I have a full post coming on the entire space and what we did to transform it on a budget.
four. books + naps
One of our new favorite weekly traditions has become hitting up the Barnes and Noble story time. We used to do one of our local library story times before Carter was born, but then they took a break over the summer last year and we never got back into it once fall came and honestly I wasn’t brave enough to go to a story time with all the boys just yet. About a month ago my friend invited us to B&N’s story time and we’ve been hooked since. The stories are great, the women are great who run it, the activities and snacks that follow it are awesome and I love seeing the boys roam around afterward in the children’s section checking out book after book. I usually have to drag them out of there or entice them with lunch with our besties to get them to leave! It makes this momma heart so stinkin’ happy to see them indulge their love of books (even if they’re character ones!). Nearly every day they’re asking to go to the bookstore. #parentwin
And often after our morning spent with books our afternoons are spent nappin’. Basically, a win-win if you ask me.
This season of life has been good to me. We’re all sleeping *mostly* all night and I am filled with energy all day thanks to this amazing nutrition I introduced into my life a few months ago. I cannot imagine going a day without it now. I wish I had found it sooner to be honest. It has changed everything for me. I’m no longer spending way too much time in the kitchen morning and afternoon pondering what I can make myself that will fill me up, be healthy and get me toward my health and wellness goals. This one little drink has fixed it all for me.
I cannot recommend it enough. I am so passionate about this amazing nutrition and continue to share about it because I think it’s THAT GOOD. I would feel selfish if I didn’t share it with every single person I know. If you are interested in trying it out send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or find me on FB and send me a message. We will get you hooked up and feeling good just in time for summer. 😉
