Today’s post was sponsored by KIDBOX. As always, all content and opinions are my own.
If you’re anything like me your house tends to be overloaded with TOYS. And if you know me you know how much I love receiving meaningful gifts for our children that offer experience, usefulness, memories and value. Not only do we request gifts like this, but we love to give gifts like this too! I really feel they offer a lasting impact instead of yet another toy to sit in the toy box unnoticed after a couple weeks (don’t get me wrong… the boys get plenty of toys still from us and others that they do enjoy playing with).
So this year I really felt compelled to gather up a handful of my favorite non-toy gifts to share with you guys. Gifts that are either meaningful, help educate your children and family, provide an experience or a memory making opportunity or something that is valuable to your life.
Here are my favorite non-toy gifts for 2017!
The Ultimate Non Toy Gift Guide
So one thing I request for every single birthday and holiday are CLOTHES! With three little boys I am constantly needing clothes for one or the other. Even though most of their clothes get handed down, some of them still get worn out and let’s face it — if you have kids of any age you ALWAYS need clothes! And what better than the gift of a new wardrobe for a little person in your life?
A couple things make KIDBOX unique. It is a seasonal box service, NOT a subscription service. You can update your style profile at any time online. They partner with amazing designer brands to send you quality clothing for your kids at a reasonable price. If you receive items you don’t like you just use the convenient bag provided in the box to swap and exchange the clothes. KIDBOX is for both boys & girls ranging from baby to size 14.

The Idea Box
These little boxes are filled with little wooden coins and they are the best thing EVER. They encourage child-led, play based activity ideas for nearly any situation. The Chores Box we use regularly, as well as the Quiet Time box. There are so many boxes to choose from. You will fall in love with this small business who has taken children’s play time and activities to a different, yet simple level.

Growing Roots Box
Our family received a few of these over the summer months and I cannot rave enough about them. First of all this company is run by an amazing woman named Christina. She puts so much thought and effort into cultivating a dynamic box of amazing things for your family. You will receive lots of items from small businesses (who doesn’t love supporting small biz?!) and some boxes include customized products too.
