Oh summer. There is something so sweet and savory about these warm summer days that leave lasting memories. This year I’ve truly had a newfound appreciation for summer. The long, warm days that lead into beautiful sunset evenings just make me wish it could never end.
The month of July in particular is one of my favorites. There are so many amazing things we get to celebrate in July from Fourth of July to Kaiden’s Gotcha Day and Kaiden’s birthday at the end of the month. The days in between are filled with days at the pool, barbecuing with friends and day trips to the park.
We’ve been able to spend some summer nights in our backyard with a bonfire and smores and for the first time in years I am not looking forward to summer ending! I will be sad to go school shopping for the boys and feel the crisp air back on my face. So for now we will continue to soak up these summer nights and enjoy the few months of the year with the sun on our face and our toes in the grass.
July’s Growing Roots Box was AMAZING.
I cannot rave enough about this awesome box. I look forward to it’s arrival every month and this month’s box blew me away.
My favorite product by and far was this gorgeous Efendy Star Gazing / Picnic Blanket. Holy smokes. It is a dream. It is perfect for laying in the grass with the baby while big brothers run around and chase each other.
I tossed these beautiful Chasing Fireflies String Lights into a mason jar and they’re the perfect summer addition to your patio table after the sun settles into clouds.
We played a fun game of “run laps around the yard” with these beautiful, unique hand stamped wooden dice. They’re perfect for tossing in your bag and pulling out if you need some on-the-fly entertainment!
I became a huge fan of Bad Axe Soap Company last month with their natural sunscreen addition to the Growing Roots Box. And this month? We got a Natural Bug Spray that is chemical free and a great alternative to those conventional, yucky bug sprays. They have merged essential oils with the wonderful smell of lavender and mint for a really awesome product. I’m obsessed. You can get it here!
And perhaps my personal favorite? This New Moon Tea Co. Sangria Iced Tea. It’s an organic herbal blend of Green Darjeeling Tea, Hibiscus, Lemon Peel and Ginger. After brewing you can add frozen or fresh fruit or mix it with juice or wine.
Can we guess which one I’ll be mixing with it?
Here’s to the sweet days of summer that we have left. May we savor them. May we never forget how sweet they really are.
